Honey Mahogany, one of four candidates vying for the redrawn District Six seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, previously served as a legislative aide and then Chief of Staff to former Supervisor Matt Haney. She graduated with honors from the University of Southern California and attended UC Berkeley, where she received a Master's in Social Work.

In March 2020, voters overwhelmingly elected Mahogany as a member of the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee. In 2021, Honey was elected to replace David Campos as Chair of the San Francisco Democratic Party, making her the first Black Chair of the party in San Francisco's history and the first transgender person to serve as Chair of any local Democratic Party. Endorsed by the DCCC and many of her would-be colleagues on the Board of Supervisors, she is seeking to represent a district where many entertainment venues operate and where a great number of taxi riders reside including people with disabilities.
